S. Jeffrey Shama
S. Jeffrey Shama has been a criminal defense attorney for the past fifteen years. His employment history includes representing death sentenced inmates for Capital Collateral Regional Counsel, working in the felony division of the Hillsborough County Public Defender's Office, as well as serving in private practice. He graduated from Stetson University College of Law following a career as a computer systems analyst for several major Florida banks and GTE Data Services.
Mr. Shama was born in New York and attended the State University of New York at Buffalo. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, he lived in Japan employed by Westinghouse as an interpreter at a nuclear power plant under construction. In addition to Japan, he has lived in Australia and New Caledonia working as a computer analyst.
As hobbies, he is involved in weight training, boot camp fitness and web development. He is very proud of his most recent website, a tool for calculating prison sentences under the Florida Criminal Punishment Code. Mr. Shama speaks English, Spanish, Japanese and French.
